Going away and off the farm is as good of profit you can get for your farm, disagree?

A farmer told be that getting off-farm whether that be at the field days, seeing your neighbours crops or overseas on break, you’ll get new ideas or just having a few days/minutes to relax and not worry about your next days work. Owning a farm or even being an employee you can be left feeling some guilt each time leaving but I tell you I’d be operation at 60% and not 98-99% each year if I didn’t get away.

Learnt a bit about Spanish farming and what it means and how it differs to Australian farming. Biggest difference was that I want to buy them some equipment because they’re very hand on. They have more people picking pumpkins in an acre field than Dubbo has people.

I said initially in this email I’d be just putting down my thoughts on where the world of farming is going, along with our farm and the podcast. It’s a unique position to be farming but also to be writing about it. Any farmer could be doing it it’s just that I liked filling my time in with something productive and wanting to ban Netflix during the week in the house. Let’s see if I still have a bed next week for it.
